An Examination Of The Logic of Multiculturalism
A liberal MP and, necessarily, a europhile, Russell Johnston, many years ago made an astute observation in the House of Commons. The French had recently put one over the UK – yet again. Russell Johnston observed that the problem with the Common Market, as it was then, is that the British are playing Happy Families while the French are playing Strip Poker.
Nothing has changed.
It is all very well for Theresa May to land back starkers from her latest jaunt to the EU, claiming that she has been trying to break the deadlock, but it is time for her to stop making an exhibition of herself, stop sucking up to the EU, and simply get Britain out at once. Instead of which, she is trying to ignore the law and bamboozle the public into accepting the cancellation of Brexit that is due on the 29 March.
