MILLIONS OF HONG KONG CHINESE

Since the UK Tory Government announced its commitment to bring millions of Hong Kong Chinese into the UK (see here and here), ie England, there has been some chatter that experts have estimated that only about 200,000 or so would actually take advantage to settle in the UK.

This chatter is as worthless as it is dishonest. Nor does the estimate reflect Government policy.

Priti Patel gave an interview to a leading newspaper in June. To quote an extract from the article (italics my own emphasis):

*****

(Priti Patel said): ‘If you think what the British government did for the Ugandan Asians, it’s phenomenal, which is why in particular sitting here, I feel so strongly about our moral commitment and responsibility to the people of Hong Kong,’ she says. ‘The Prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary and I are committed to creating a bespoke way for them to come here.’

More than two million of them? She nods.

‘It speaks again for the values of our country and the open tolerant country we are. Look…’ she nods towards two maps of the British Isles on the wall of her office. One is from 2017 and one from 2019.

‘We won a General Election because we focused on levelling up across the country. We want to deliver that and give opportunity to all.’

She speaks with a passion that is borne from her own life experience.

The reporter did not ask any adult questions, such as what the cost of settling 3.5 million or so Hong Kong Chinese in the UK might be, or how it would be paid for. There was nothing so vulgar as that.

In the article Priti Patel proceeded to set out her family history and commitment to hard work. She then said: ‘My family are international. We don’t see colour, gender, race or stereotype. That is part of my motivation for becoming a Member of Parliament. I am not a stereotype.’

The article shows that any insinuation that the Hong Kongers moving to the UK will only be around 200,000 or so is mischievous speculation. The Tory Government is happy for millions of Hong Kong Chinese to immigrate to the UK, alongside millions of other immigrants.

The article also shows that Priti Patel has not one jot of consideration for the interests and views of the English. It is England where nearly all immigrants settle. The generosity of the English towards her, as a Ugandan Asian, is not reciprocated.

The talk of ‘levelling up across the country’ is drivel. The impact of millions of immigrants will reduce living standards of the English by reducing wages, and exacerbating the housing shortage, and create pressure on hospitals, schools, roads, railways etc. Living standards will fall. ‘Levelling up’ means ‘levelling down’. That is inevitable. That is Tory policy.

Like Theresa May, the former Tory prime minister, Priti Patel is a politically-correct globalist. She is not a Conservative. Political correctness is a belief system, and Priti Patel is a true believer.

Priti Patel is keen on the policy of mass immigration, and is keen to see the English reduced to being a minority in England. She could not care less about the conflict, lawlessness and violence that demographic changes will cause.

NB: The rationale put forward is that aspect of political correctness known as constitutional patriotism (aka civic nationalism), in that abstract, internationalist theories about human rights and immigration (in this instance) are the basis of patriotism and not the interests of the core nation (the English are core nation of England). The state owes no loyalty to the core nation, whose interests are expendable.
