An Examination Of The Logic of Multiculturalism
This is a good presentation by Roy Beck of Numbers USA. It focuses on the futility of trying to alleviate world poverty by a policy of mass immigration. The point is well made, that allowing a continuation of 1 million legal immigrants into the USA is of no help to those in the Third World whose living standards are such that they live on only $2 per day – a definition of poverty set by the World Bank.
With around 3 billion in the world living on $2 per day, and another 2.6 billion with incomes lower than Mexicans, and with that 5.6 billion population increasing by 80 million per annum due to births exceeding deaths – then what relevance is promoting an immigration rate of 1 million per year into the USA? By ‘enticing’ better-off immigrants from the Third World to the West, such merely deprives the countries of origin of those with badly needed skills (eg doctors and nurses).
The harm caused by mass immigration on the host country is well known, not only due to the effect on social cohesion, the cultural consequences and on national unity, but also the financial costs (eg see The Ponzi Class: Ponzi Economics, Globalization and Class Oppression in the 21st Century, pages 300 to 316). Numbers USA was formed in 1997 and in the UK there is the research carried out by MigrationWatch UK, founded in 2001, and yet the policy of mass immigration continues. Then there is the tolerance of illegal immigration and the funding of the various organized crime networks (including al-Qaeda and ISIS) that facilitate it (eg see my post on illegal immigration).
Are we to understand that the various Western governments and NGOs are ignorant of all these arguments? That the points made have never occurred to the-powers-that-be? Of course, they are well aware of these arguments – but they could not care less. Minds are closed against genuine practical compassion, and against patriotism.
This is due to the underlying belief system of political correctness. For the politically-correct wet-liberals, who genuinely believe all the candyfloss language of political correctness, mass immigration is good, enlightened, and enriching. Anyone who disagrees with them is racist. Believers do not care about the facts.
For the communist wing of political correctness, mass immigration is an opportunity to undermine and ultimately destroy the host country. In particular, by making common cause with radical Muslims in a barbarist alliance (a barbarist is someone who wishes to barbarize civilization – see The Genesis of Political Correctness: The Basis of a False Morality, page 10). The communists promote mass immigration, both legal and illegal, because it is harmful.
No matter how valid any critique of the policy of mass immigration, or of the tolerance of illegal immigration, such a critique is in vain unless the false morality of political correctness is destroyed. The believers have to be confronted, thrown out of power, and their sticky mitts detached from public monies.
The fight between patriotism and political correctness is the fight between good and evil. It is as clear cut as that.
