An Examination Of The Logic of Multiculturalism
The recent two-part documentary shown on BBC 4, ‘Brexit: Behind Closed Doors – Storyville’, has been something of an eye-opener and caused something of a stir in Britain. The extent of the contemptuous manner in which the various Tory ministers and MPs were regarded and treated had hitherto been unseen. The May Government was dismissed as a joke. Worse, was the casual manner in which the EU could demand and obtain its own way with ease.
This is the Fall of Singapore Spirit in action. The complacent decadence wafts out from the Tory Party in particular, and the whole ruling British Ponzi class in general.
In February 1942, Lieutenant-General Arthur Percival, having first lost Malaya, surrendered Singapore to the Japanese, despite being ordered by Churchill to fight to the last man. A garrison of 100,000 British and Commonwealth forces surrendered to a Japanese force of only 30,000. The Japanese were about to retreat due to heavy artillery bombardment. The British had artillery superiority. The Japanese did control the air.
The artillery bombardment ceased, and Percival walked out with a white flag and surrendered. Many of the British forces had only just arrived as reinforcements and all those surrendering spent the remainder of the war in Japanese POW camps, with all the cruelty that entailed.
As the British retreated down Malaya, Percival had refused to fortify the northern part of Singapore, despite being urged to do so by his subordinate officers. Percival argued that it would be bad for morale.
The 2016 referendum vote gave the government clear instructions that the UK should leave the EU. The UK’s trade deficit with the EU is a crippling £100 billion per year, the EU is further exporting its unemployed to the UK, imposing unnecessary rules and regulations, and marching towards the creation of a superstate. If all that is not bad enough, the UK has to pay around £12 billion per year for the privilege of membership.
Following the referendum result, the May Government concluded that their only option was to immediately capitulate and accept any demand that the EU made. Many in the government were openly acting in the EU’s interests – including May herself.
The May Government refused to properly prepare for No Deal, and May personally overturned the law to prevent the UK leaving the EU without a deal on the 29 March 2019.
The Tories are not the solution to Britain’s problems. The Tories are the problem. The ethos of the Fall of Singapore spirit is a sickness that dominates the Tory Party. The recent Storyville documentary evidenced that.
